The Ontario Erectors Association, Incorporated and its predecessor associations, the Ontario Erectors Association and the Structural Steel Erecting Contractors Association trace their history back to the mid 1950's. At that time a group of eighteen major fabricators and erectors of structural steel felt they had a common interest in the area of construction site labour relations and formed the original association - the S. S. E. C. A. (Structural Steel Erecting Contractors Association).
